However from my experience and what others have said for both, I'll basically just give a general idea of what you can expect from both and let you decide from which sounds more for you.Ĭoromon is much more similar to Pokemon in its design and mechanics, having pixel design I would say is similar to the DS era of Pokemon games. This is unlocked in normal story progression.Even though I have both I've only played through Monster Crown entirely, with Coromon still on the To-Do list. This is the Storklift, which is found in each town and can be used to access monster storage or fast travel. This NPC is found in each town and will heal your party for $15 or for free on Easy Mode. Spawn locations are rerolled upon entering buildings or battles. NPCs can offer trades or battles, and will not reset until you soft reset/hard reset the game. Items, eggs, and npcs can spawn in locations throughout the overworld. If you run into a wild monster, you will be sent to the battle screen. Wild monsters will roam in the Overworld. This will damage and sometimes outright defeat the monster, making grinding easier. If scout is enabled, your monster will attack monsters you aim at. You can reactivate the sit button to return it to your side. If sitting, you can pick up pumpkins and other fruit to feed your monster and restore its Health. Your monster can be commanded to sit or scout, depending on which option you have enabled. There are several game mechanics in the Overworld.
